we re-surfaced an older DIY recording from 2015 & thought you might like to hear it... it is from our final recording at our Maujer street rehearsal studio. it was a troublesome spot that we occupied for 10 years. the spot started off great & grew steadily towards becoming unbearable after the first 5 years there. we never suffered any loss by theft, but plenty of other terrible things happened there. those Iranian rockers shot and killed each other on the block & a soup company opened up next door & hired half of Rikers Island. lots of second-hand blunt smoke & eventually someone was shot dead on the sidewalk directly across from our building. In our final week there, as we transitioned into a new studio which we could have to ourselves exclusively, some street creature tried to steal a wheel off my jeep. he was only stopped by torrential downpours of rain & my unexpected exit from the building after only a few minutes inside...
we don't miss that place...
